@stsmith Photon in photon torpedoes really refers to the photon drive mechanism that propels them although making a parallel to current day submarines the tubes do accelerate the torpedo to some impulse speed before a small residual warp bubble kicks in to boost the photon drive to FTL speed. Faster and farther range than phasers who's damage is more like a lightsaber's. The actual explosive isn't photons but a selectable quantity of antimatter siphoned off of the ship's reserve tank.

To block RSS access, a mastodon account has to be marked followers only so like when you visit its account page you get no toots. In such cases, a follower calls for the feed using their Mastodon login credentials in their reader
