I've flown Southwest pretty much everywhere in the US without problems. Two checked bags for free is a big benefit.
This is from a guy who used to fly American all the time and was platinum level for two years.

Unsubscribing from email messages should NOT require anything other than entering the mail address. No other data needed.
Yesterday I got a message from TEMU asking to confirm my address. Had a confirm & deny links. The deny link sent another email with a six digit code to confirm the denial. Done. That was an OK method.
I get a handful of bogus email signups or other messages each week. VERY annoying.

Wow. Look at some of the comments

Two dimensions present in the replies.
One side saying it was "Masterful" and the other that it was filled with lies and no accomplishments.

Kind of like this Kent State graduate

from five years ago.
@Djeep
The time is NOW
(should add a 33 to the end...)
@Djeep
This says
https://www.northernnewsnow.com/2023/12/29/dozen-people-trapped-upper-red-lake-ice-flow/
4 did go into the ice but were rescued (see the bit about the canoe).
All 122 are off the ice - most rescued with an air boat.
No mention of lost equipment or vehicles.
@mrman
Not sure I'd be holding the black probe that close to the end like that.
But having said that - it doesn't look good there.
@Djeep
I finally listened to his podcast from a week ago & he mentioned the banana rating near the end
https://www.podchaser.com/podcasts/the-dershow-1441969/episodes/supreme-court-will-overrule-co-195554060
He said it was at six but would not increase it due to the Colorado Supreme Court decision. That decision is so bad it should be rejected quickly and not affect the rating.
If SCOTUS allows it to stand, he might increase the rating to 8 out of 10.
@Djeep
I'll go with eight (two sets of four).
@Djeep
Correction - only 6 of 10 at the end of October - I looked it up.
I asked him for a banana update as well as feedback on the Colorado GOP petition to SCOTUS as well.
We will see if he writes it up or talks about it in the podcast he does.
@Djeep
I should ask Dershowitz if he's updated his "banana rating" since the CO Supreme Court ruling.
He was up to 7 out of 10 bananas a couple months ago.
@ned
Stay safe!
Go fuck yourself!
@Djeep
Do you have a link for that?
I have links saying the 2022 tree is "fire proof" like this one
https://nypost.com/2022/11/22/fox-news-lights-fireproof-tree-after-last-years-fire/
@Djeep
Umm. That was two years ago.

@Djeep
Hmm. From 2015.
https://www.nasa.gov/solar-system/from-a-million-miles-away-nasa-camera-shows-moon-crossing-face-of-earth/
Yet another picture I don't remember.
I was wondering why we have a satellite so far away (that isn't the JWST). This page says
https://www.nesdis.noaa.gov/current-satellite-missions/currently-flying/dscovr-deep-space-climate-observatory
that DSCOVR is at L1 to check for solar wind disturbances & provide early warning. The EPIC sensor is a secondary payload - providing earth images from a stable location to compare with other satellites.
@mrman
The Mormons would beat off CA - most of the area around the "California Republic" words would be like this

@mrman
Okay, that's really nasty
https://www.mathpages.com/home/kmath668/kmath668.htm
I get 1/2+2/pi if I read it right.
That is smaller than my original guess (ignore everything but the three shortest paths).
Colorado Supreme Court rules Trump not eligible for ballot
https://www.courts.state.co.us/userfiles/file/Court_Probation/Supreme_Court/Opinions/2023/23SA300.pdf
Ruling stayed until January 4th to allow for a SCOTUS appeal.
A few key points of the ruling
- section 3 includes the President
- an insurrection occurred
- Trump's actions engaged in insurrection
- Jan 6th speech incited crowd that breached capitol
Bunch of other stuff in the ruling - some looks wrong but we will see what SCOTUS says.
