    @hypolite Well that's sort of the second thing: We probably need to introduce paging to comments on the website too. The Mastodon API supports paging and I'm using that fact to limit loading all the comments all at once. Flutter only renders objects that get called up for presentation so image loading is deferred until a List item is within a few of what is actively visible by the the user.

    @anubis2814 @hypolite I’d try to apply it on mine if I could still generate posts but I can’t figure out why my long standing API key is now in violation of TOS and honestly at this point I am done dealing with the Kafkaesque process combined with Musk’s BS.

    Over the summer I was really ramping up my Friendica contributions so wrote some quick guides on how to set it up for serving or developing. Then other projects looked like it'd be a while before I'd get back to it so I crushed all my VMs. Now I'm contributing again so have my handy blog posts to help me bootstrap again.     @mauro On Friendica, depending on how you do your view, newer interactions raise the the post up to the top of the timeline again. So if the timeline is toggled in "Latest activity" mode even older posts that have a recent like, comment, etc. percolate back up to the top.

    @maartenballiauw Flutter. I should say mobile and desktop because I'm doing all the development on Linux testing on Linux desktop but it will easily be shippable on iOS, Android, Windows, and Mac.

    Yup. Even "the good ones" have, especially once they got monopoly or duopoly level status with mass adoption. It's almost like there is a formula or something. And yes, look at the business models being presented for AI and metaverse platforms and it makes the already horrible era of surveillance capitalism look quaint but with ads on top to boost. #geekhumor #devhumor #DeleteBigTech

    @libreoffice I definitely do :). I do wish the consistent rendering of word processor documents with MS Office was fixable but since it often falls down to the default fonts not being installable and embedding the fonts is not common for most people (and balloons the size) just have to live with it when sharing documents with others. I'm sure MS has less than zero intention of fixing that and thus ceding supremacy to you, Google Drive, etc. :(
