I fully appreciate the fact that my land lords / owners are the absolute opposite of this, they never put any signs up, never do any nasty ''make it difficult' bs, and actually like it when people walk through their land, they say "It's nice to have a chat, you never know who you will meet".

I used to have a supplier on eBay that had really inexpensive but top quality Polish (as in the country) solder, but that ended many years ago - Cynel iirc.

Since then I have used Kester SN63PB37 - the naughty but good stuff - I still have 1/2 a lb of that left!

But also have an as yet untested roll of Stannol Cn96,5Ag3Cu0,5 which is meant to be lovely according to Exploding Shed anyway 😃

Oh and I have tried pastes for SMD, but honestly, I prefer the strands for hand builds.

I have hundreds of patch cables 😩

I have just packed all my cables away in bags sorted according to kind, and chucked them all in a box with a lid!

I wish I had done this immediately after the last time I cleaned them all, but I will do that next time I use them.

The plan is... take them out, use them, wipe them down, put them back away - so they stop accumulating dust!

I am feeling lighter and happier - this is good 👍

Teletype is fun and very useful, but I never gelled with it the way I thought I would!
