I’m so sorry to inform you, news sites, but when you tell me it’s not a paywall but you won’t let me read the thing without entering my email address… it’s a paywall. I’m paying you with my personal contact information. Actually I’m not paying you, I generally just close the tab.

Found a car that says it’s actually a teapot

I need a new job like last month. We are basically bankrupt now, I don’t know how I’m going to feed my family and we can’t make April rent.

I’m physically located in the metro Detroit area, Michigan, USA. I’m looking for anything either local to me or remote, and I have been working remotely for most of the last 10+ years.

I can do whatever work needs done, I have had a long career in web hosting, doing everything from DevOps to Technical Support to IT to Security. Any leads would be great right now, but also here’s my kofi:

#FediHire me plz

@big_louse @ekis ahhh I love this, @ekis can I play your music on radiofreesociety.com ?

@lmorchard LeGuin is a saint, a SAINT.

Eyyy wow this is doing numbers! If anyone seeing this thread is looking to hire a devops/linux/cloud type person, I’m your choom! Out of work and looking to get #fedihired

Secondly, sorry for lumping boomers together like that, I know many kind and good and enlightened boomers and of course there are tons of terrible people in all generations and that all war is class war and all that, I was being flip sorry about that.

And if anyone would like to support my cause, please consider contributing to my coffee and donut fund over at https://ko-fi.com/cobweb_ci

I’d like to send a special “fuck you buddy” to all the boomers that told me “oh you’ll get more conservative as you get older, once you get some money”

I don’t know what world those people live in, but every day since probably 1989 everything I have seen in the world has only convinced me more and more that capitalism is a disease that is destroying lives and the planet.

@cstross can’t wait to shoot this straight up my nose.

Well it happened, I got let go from my job today. If anyone needs a #devops or other #linux expertise hmu, looking to get #fedihired (is that the right hashtag idk)

This was very sudden and shitty. I’m gonna go have a little cry now. :(

@nazokiyoubinbou @mcc I don’t think all of mastodons problems are technical, and probably at least some of them *can’t* be fixed. Like the BDFL issue.

@RL_Dane is this about rust? This is about rust isn’t it

@mcc @triple I love space time and watch all of them! They’re really really compelling videos but yeah sometimes my head gets near explosion levels

@realtegan I like going the other way “thirty is hot, twenty is nice, ten’s a bit chilly and zero is ice”

@x00001 well now we know that a sense of fucking wonder is worth about 700 million bucks

What are your favorite protest songs? I’m workin on a playlist. It’s gonna be pretty angry, that’s just the vibe I’m running with
