We can't have a President Trump, round 2, because we know he will switch the nation to fascism. He also will not move to stop Israel's current genocidal attack on Gaza.

But, we are contending with a King Leopold-type President Biden, doing wonderful things at home, but engaging us as the instrument of destruction in Gaza, which is intolerable.

Thanks. Yes, I read Teri's explanation and I feel I have a better understanding of why both sides would choose it: the suspect cannot claim the 5th, and the prosecution gets the truth, and if it is not the truth, then the suspect looses the immunity.
