   The #CDC’s move comes amid one of the largest #measles outbreaks the US has seen in the past decade, with >150 cases & 2 deaths in #Texas & #NewMexico. The outbreak has been fueled by declining #vaccination rates in parts of the #UnitedStates where parents have been falsely persuaded that such shots do more harm than good.

     Meanwhile we already have two deaths, one child, one adult, which for less than 200 known cases is extremely outside the old statistic of 1 death per 1000 cases.

     So, we either have far more cases than are being reported, or the virus in this outbreak is more virulent than historic measles, at least to this population.

     This where I normally read what the CDC has to say, but they are back to researching the already thoroughly debunked measles vaccine implications in autism.
