@skinnylatte Which one do you think turned out the best?
We attempted to scan a glossy photo on a home scanner, and the colors were weirdly oversaturated. I ended up carefully taking a photo of the other photo, and hopefully it is good enough.

@luckytran The pharmacist was happy with someone who I know for wearing his mask when he went to pick up his Paxlovid, which would suggest that some people who are in the contagious phase of COVID are not wearing masks to the pharmacy to pick up their meds. 🤦🏻♀️
@clarity This is interesting. To clarify, do you think this happens because of lack of acceptance in women-dominated spaces? I just figured the trans women hobbies overlapped more strongly with the male hobbies.
@arstechnica Maybe they shouldn't have been allowed to shake down patients before they could prove that it worked?
@thomasfuchs I think this discussion can be ableist, but there is a pattern of excusing people's bad behavior by speculating on their mental health issues like "What if that person who is abusive towards you is just suffering from some mental health issue."
And I am not sure how to stay off of both these paths because both are terrible.

What do you mean by that?
Unfollowing them because they only share their substack writing and nothing else here, unfollowing because the links they share are their substack links, or unfollowing because they share substack links?
@cstross Space needs more Marie Kondo.
@acdha @bluejekyll @mekkaokereke Ooh, boy. We have free public transit in July and August this year because air pollution is very bad in those months. The people of Nextdoor are saying stupid things about how public transit has brought more homelessness to town.
@thomasfuchs This website is down, but it was my favorite last year.

@glaroc I don't know about non-alcoholic bars, but there are more non-alcoholic drinks, like kombucha, in normal bars.
Here is one in DC, but I would say this closes too early to be considered a real bar. What do you think?
Oh! They teach you how to brew your own.
@thomasfuchs Your glasses are so cool.
