   this phenomenon where trans women have an easier time carving out niches in male-dominated spaced than anywhere else… fedi, mtg tournaments, speedrunning, etc. it’s a little exhausting really. especially when we get propped up in this “see? we’re inclusive” kind of way when the underlying problem usually hasn’t been addressed — men in these spaces just see us as unthreatening and undesirable

     @clarity@xoxo.zone it also ignores the fact that trans folks put ridiculous amounts of work in to create those spaces, and to try to make/keep them inclusive.

     @sepdroid that’s definitely a factor but also…. the moral panic focuses on “trans women in cis women’s spaces” for a reason, yeah?

     @clarity This is interesting. To clarify, do you think this happens because of lack of acceptance in women-dominated spaces? I just figured the trans women hobbies overlapped more strongly with the male hobbies.
