Check Alex's timeline - he was able to follow Mosseri from gleasonator.com after he properly configured an outbox. Unless one of Threads' federation guys is a secret Gleason stan, they're not on a Whitelist.
I don't see why they would do that long-term - making all of their posts available somewhere where they can't place advertisements and then NOT federating any of the other place's posts to their own platform in return is MASSIVELY counterproductive from a business standpoint. It would be making the Fediverse the more attractive option solely from a network effect standpoint, and I'm sure Zuckerberg of all people realizes that.
Threads is likely just putting the finishing touches on whatever method of moderating ActivityPub posts they've cobbled together but wanted to test the Threads->AP federation in the meantime.
And speaking of, how do I get the Mosseri account to show up on Nicecrew? 🤔
If there's anything that I'd be willing to believe was actually a psychological warfare / demoralization tactic like the schizos say, it would be getting forced to wake up at ungodly hours. That shit is soul-crushing.
So first Gleason is wasting his and everyone's time by implementing a GBC emulator when he could instead be fixing bugs, but now he's just lazily copy-pasting other people's work?
Does this sound like a coherent series of arguments to you? Because to me it just sounds like you're coping, crawling, seething, malding, etc. over having your code rejected, lmao
Them just leaving the money in a bank account wouldn't be a problem if they weren't raising all this money by claiming to their fans that it was being donated to specific, explicitly named orgs that, in reality, weren't getting a cent of it, for ten straight years.
I imagine GDQ is probably a little more responsible/impactful with the money they've raised than Jirard has been, but if not, I would LOVE to see them crash and burn, too.
