@crunklord420 @Sprate also they literally do the "we're a broke charity we need money" bit while the CEO is out paying hookers or spending it on expensive cars or something stupid

@Sprate the point is even A-rated "good" charities are part of the Charity Industrial Complex which is big business. The people involved will tell you that you just don't understand the reason they do these things is because it gets them even more money, it's rent seeking.

I imagine GDQ is probably a little more responsible/impactful with the money they've raised than Jirard has been, but if not, I would LOVE to see them crash and burn, too.

Them just leaving the money in a bank account wouldn't be a problem if they weren't raising all this money by claiming to their fans that it was being donated to specific, explicitly named orgs that, in reality, weren't getting a cent of it, for ten straight years.

@Sprate bro how are people going to handle it when some big YouTuber does a "deep dive" into the GDQ cancer charity that is promoted as an organization that "spreads awareness". Some nigga is gonna follow up on what that means and it turns out your millions of dollars get funneled into pamphlets handed out at malls or some shit lmao. It's not even a secret, I just don't think people realize how fucking lame most charity is.

ngl im vaguely interested in seeing how Le Completionist handles all the dramz.
Honestly I can't get mad about it, I know charity is a scam and ohwow you got not-actually-scammed due to not-actually-embezzlement. Imagine if you knew how "legit" charities worked. Big nothing burger.
