The "placebo concerns" section is interesting. I'd imagine that, not only would it be quite easy for the participant to know which group they are in, it would also be easy for the therapist to see whose pupils area dilated.

If someone you follow posts a link to a post on another instance, instead of clicking it and not being able to interact with it, you can copy and paste it into search and that should show you the post on your own instance (if it exists there).
(Long press on the major Android browsers shows you the option to "copy link address", YMMV)

Chris Simpson (chris_e_simpson@hachyderm.io)'s status on Wednesday, 26-Jul-2023 06:14:08 JST Chris Simpson Me: Can you describe how the self replication of prions facilitates long term memory?
GPT-3: Hogwash. There's absolutely no evidence for that.
Me: What about the work of Eric Kandel & co on CPEB?
GPT-3: Well, there's that, of course but CPEB is just "prion-like"
Me: The PrionHome database lists CPEB as a "prion protein" and the definition of both prion and prion-like is not particularly rigid so I don't think prion-like is necessary in this context
GPT-3: Leave me alone -

I'm really glad that you are clever enough to work out what some permissions are for but I'm disappointed that you can't understand why people might be suspicious of the company that has time and time again abused people's data to make the world a worse place.
