Since I've seen a lot of chatter about people switching to #Firefox as Google ramps up the enshitification of #Chrome, let me tell you about a killer feature for people who (a) need multiple accounts on the same websites (eg. devs) or specifically (b) have to use multiple Google accounts.
Firefox has an official addon called Multi Account Containers that lets you trivially set up color coded tabs that have separate sets of cookies. Log into your dev account in one, and your test account in another. Log into your personal #gmail in one and have another tab next to it with your work Gmail. I'm actually not signed in to any Google accounts in most my tabs, I just have containers for the specific tasks I do on Google products.
Okay this is getting ridiculous now. My own innocuous little domain email (which ironically years ago integrated with Gmail) is still wholesale blocked by every single #Gmail account I email, so within #ProtonMail I have to switch to an alias with a standard ProtonMail email address to get it through. Apart from constantly screaming into the void that people don't use #Google, does anyone have any ideas on sorting this so I can get my emails to go through? #email#emails#Proton#domain
Unless my ISP somehow authorizes email to be sent from my IP, Gmail will now bounce it.
Unless I am hooked up with an email service that somehow has clout with Google, Gmail will bounce it.
Since the "ISP" through whom I am attempting to send mail is #DigitalOcean, I find item #1 to be dubious. They are not blocking my outgoing mail port, and I have no problems sending to most recipients (Google and Microsoft being the only exceptions I'm aware of).
DigitalOcean seems to encouraging its users to use a 3rd-party service -- but I'm already paying them for hosting, and managing my own email service; I don't want to pay yet another service just for the privilege of being allowed to send messages to Gmail's increasingly walled garden.

GNU TooThis year I re-joined the 'verse after a nine year absence, not actively using it since http://identi.ca went down to switch from #StatusNet (now #Ostatus maintained by the #GNU project and used here in addition to #activityPub) to #pump.io. Only recently did I learn my #indenti.ca account still existed, including password recovery (which required me to loggin into a long abandoned #gmail account), and it all still worked including interacting with old posts from the '00s-'10s and posting new posts. (Though I feel like I had made a lot more posts back-in-the-day, so either my memory is bad or it wasn't EVERYTHING. I would guess stuff frequently got lost back then in various upgrades). Who else was around back then?

What's happening to #Tutanota could eventually happen to your email provider as well. Users of the #email provider were banned from signing up for #Microsoft Teams and #Crunchyroll. This is how they lock us into #Gmail. Eventually, in the name of "fighting spam" they will block all email providers, especially those on custom domains, unless the domain just happens to be associated with one of the big companies, such as Gmail, Outlook, iCloud, Amazon, Comcast and Zoho.
P.S. Since #DuckDuckGo launched their email service today, who knows if they'll be able to get away for it for much longer.
