Tbf copyright wasn't really an issue until seppos started jewing it up, it was originally just about printing presses being more publicly accessible or some other gay shit that nobody cares about. Now it's used to push shit like over 5000% markups on big pharma monopolies which is killing people. We've got a lot of problems (muslims and armchair socialist tyrants mostly) but lawfare's a yank one.
