     My sister in law has a tech manager job in Seattle with actual supposedly "good" health insurance. She paid more in copays for a natural birth at some random local shit hospital than I did for an emergency C-section in Mexico at a fancy private hospital. In fact, more than double: $6000 vs $2500. "Insurance" is just the subscription fee you pay to have permission to pay for your medical care in the US.

     @Deplorable_Degenerate @vicious @wertimer @WhitestTemplar @deprecated_ii @Hoss I know people who have similar distance, and some who have as long as 60 miles/100 kilometers of commute, but personally I would never unless I really had to.

     I live very rural, so I don't have a choice unless a good job opens up in one of the surrounding small towns.
