I think you're missing the whole ONE OF US statement, probably missing the second sentence mistransliteration in Genesis where God created the Earth, and it BECAME lifeless and void. Which of course explains why he gives Adam and Eve the instructions to REplenish the Earth, the exact same instructions he gave Noah, to REplenish the Earth again. -

@SK1ZM @GoyGirl @RichardKuklinskisIcyGlare @KingOfWhiteAmerica @Shadowbroker2135 @leespringfield1903 @mjdigspigs @pepsi_man @verita84 @vic Rāhula was the son of Siddhartha Gautama, who later became known as the Buddha. He was born on the night his father left the palace to seek enlightenment, and was named Rāhula, which means "fetter" or "impediment," reflecting the belief that family ties could hinder the quest for spiritual liberation.

Same 😏 like last summer when my car broke down on the side of the freeway prior to me blacking out. There were a lot of weird things that happened in a sequence where I got to live but come out on the other end with a scab ripped off and a fresh new heartbreak and even more miserable and depressed than I was so I'm not exactly sure what the point of it was yet -

I have also had undeniably spiritual experiences and occurrences that I don't bother explaining to people who have closed their minds off to that sort of thing. I would be dead today if it weren't for a specific, external, split-second intervention that happened.

Hospice nurses are said to be emphatic believers from seeing death so much. Not saying their interpretation is always Christianity, or isn't flawed, but after being party for weeks to both my grandma & mother dying somewhat slowly at home (down to the dates & times), I sure can't help but believe, either.
Maybe some of us can't avoid being "chosen," though - & others are meant to probe constant cynical questions, like you, Kuklinski. Lol 😉 -

The earths age is incalculable unless you were to somehow be able to count it's rings of cataclysmic events 😏 everything on the surface of the planet today will be recycled through the mantle at some point. Even the ancient stuff archeologists have dug up. It's probably something like every hundred thousand years the earth does a pole shift and recycles everything and starts over again from caveman to advanced civilization over and over. Why I don't believe in heaven/hell and snowflake souls(egos) you don't get to take anything with you when you die, not even your memories. Dementia patients lose their "souls" before they even die. Life is eternal, your energy is eternal. Just not your current character you're playing -

In fact, I knew I wanted an Orthodox Funeral, even before I was Orthodox, because the obvious rightness of it was so overwhelming, to my senses - it was a big part of why I decided to become Orthodox.

@KingOfWhiteAmerica @SK1ZM @RichardKuklinskisIcyGlare @Shadowbroker2135 @leespringfield1903 @mjdigspigs @pepsi_man @verita84 @vic It is a book of wisdom, not a book of information. Jesus did a good job of pointing out that the Pharisees in their obsession with making laws from the bible while ignoring the spirit of the book were being faggots.
And the modern Jews took that to an extreme writing hundreds of books of evil nonsense ignoring God and focusing on ever more complex rewriting of the Torah to make every evil into a virtue.
The bible must be read in spirit of one's own time and situation - we have minds to discern and eyes to see and are meant to think about good and evil as we are cursed with the burden of sin. Shit like creationism and literalism are gay.

The problem is people treating a religious text as a historical text and not understanding ancient people's did not have a concept of historicity and evidence and science. A snake with legs did not ask a woman made out of a rib to eat a fruit and give it to her husband - it is a story about the knowledge of good and evil.
We no longer think like ancient people so we struggle to accept these writings as they are written. The older the parts of the bible, the more abstract the stories are - nobody misunderstand that the parables of Jesus are stories meant to teach but completely miss that for the rest of the bible.
Big chunks just don't make sense anymore because we can't understand the metaphors.

Life is kind of curse. You should abandon any responsibilities so you can sit and do nothing but contemplate emptiness and oneness, whatever the fuck that means. Disconnect from your family, your country, your people. Just sit there navel gazing and hope at some point you won't be reborn into the universe again. No love, no hope, no family, no children, no history, no striving, no building, nothing. Just nothing.

The idea of removing attachment from the physical is good. Yes it's incomplete as a philosophy because simply removing attachment doesn't fix your soul or help you and those around you. The Lord saw fit to put such “Easter Eggs” all over the pre-Christian world - pointing to Him of course. I don't think they forgo their own enlightenment, a bodhisattva is basically like a missionary or someone who donates themselves in the service of mankind. They're basically the monks who've achieved enlightenment and decided they had enough of the monastery and go back out to rejoin the world to get a job, married or whatever like regular people, but also helpful in the ways of the Buddha -

Enlightenment is one of those things where people struggle with it because they're overthinking it 😏 it's actually the simplest thing in the world. People thinking some magical shit will start happening like when you solve the hell raiser box or have all these preconceived expectations is what prevents people from becoming enlightened. Basically what zen and enlightenment are in the simplest terms are "what goes up must come down". Don't over think that, it means exactly what it says. That's what what all that stuff is about. Decluttering the mind of nonsense for more efficient functionality. -

I've been a great example of samsara 😏 with my alcoholism in particular. Where I had quit and built myself back up and acquired a bunch of cool stuff and then relapse for one reason or another and lose it all and then get sober again to repeat the same process. That's basically what it is. I don't think it's hard to become enlightened, most people are in their own way with that. The hard part is reaching the state of nirvana where you have absolutely no attachment or worries and can fully live in and enjoy the now without future tripping anxiety or feeling guilty about the past. That's the hardest part. Especially when you're living under a system that expects you to plan all your moves out ahead 5 years in advance as well as does background checks on you to see if you meet whatever criteria. You'll never achieve nirvana in America. You gotta go live with the Asians in some Asian country under a completely different socioeconomic system and culture -
