Lutheran was dominant, some Catholics (although that was an issue because of fifth column concerns), and probably a few other misc. types including those who adopted NSDAP revisionist 'positive Christianity' etc.

As a staunch Norse historian I recognize their religion led them to much bravery, but also infighting.
