That's such a cope for people trying to justify wealth, which ironically creates an idol out of it (PS: We're not commanded to be poor, just not to value money more important than God and His commandments). I will criticize it just like I will "new wine" grape juice communion. Why would the disciples ask "THEN WHO CAN BE SAVED!?" and why would it have been said immediately after the sad virtuous rich man walked away from potential discipleship because he couldn't part with his money?

I am asking the same thing from you that I will from anyone else, which is to not try to :Ackshually: ackshually scripture. We should not twist clear meanings to justify things. The man in the story left very sad because he was rich. Jesus says how tough it is for rich people to love God more than their money and be saved. Jesus tells the sad and confused onlookers that with God all things are possible. Remember this is right after the dude called Jesus "Good Teacher" and said he's kept all of the commandments from his youth onward.
Mark 10:21 (NKJV)
>21Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, “One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow Me.” 22But he was sad at this word, and went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions. 23Then Jesus looked around and said to His disciples, “How hard it is for those who have riches to enter the kingdom of God!”
☝️ in reference to the fact that the dude could not make that last step to show God, who was presenting in the flesh before him, that he values Him more than his early wealth.
>24And the disciples were astonished at His words. But Jesus answered again and said to them, “Children, how hard it is [b]for those who trust in riches to enter the kingdom of God! 25It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”
☝️ Dismissing this as a verse about an area in context of the verse seems pretty dumb, right? Especially because Jesus says right in verse 27 what the answer is and that we don't need to cope or be sad at the challenge.
26And they were greatly astonished, saying among themselves, “Who then can be saved?” 27But Jesus looked at them and said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.
