@_elena @z428 I run a small Mastodon instance since 2018, there are some 300 accounts on it, and some may have set their posts to auto delete. If I take a look at the media storage:

you can see that local accounts only make up a small part of it.

@evan Somewhat agree, parts of it should be in the GitHub (or Codeberg, or … ) issues of the Fediverse projects and in the standard bodies if it comes to questions about the protocol.
