    Ugh...sometimes it blows my mind California is one state. Humboldt county has nothing in common with central California like the bay area. The bay area has nothing in common with southern California like LA.

    So does locking your account mean no one can see your profile other than those who follow you? On the options, all it says is "manually approve someone who wants to follow you."

    @polarisera Yeah I agree. Especially because I want other spinsters to see my posts even if we don't follow each other. I just locked it but am going to unlock it. I think I can just do individual posts as "followers only?" I just want to be able to post things without attracting a bunch of triggered fedi users sometimes.

    What is up with this common theme from so many religious men in my life, where they claim to be the "head of household" all while not providing for their wife and child/children. Like dude, if you're gonna talk the talk, walk the walk.

    SO MANY of them lately. Countless examples. Your wife and children are on foodstamps, you live in a tiny place, and you refuse to go out and actually provide. You can't just use the label and not live up to it 🙄

    @polarisera @GalacticTurtle I was in a theater, sitting close to a group of guys, when "The Girl in the Spider's Web" trailer came on. When the line came where it was something like "you're a woman who hurts men who hurt women" they visibly got annoyed. It was dumb. I don't understand why they would take it personally lol...but they probably chopped it up to "another female empowerment movie where they make all men evil" (even though in the movie she's protecting a little boy the whole time, but they don't show that in the trailer).

    I just have a feeling that any movie that comes out where the woman is even slightly badass, guys like that will discount it as some feminist propaganda film.

    @FemaleIsNotAFeeling @Flick Sort of...in my situation it's where you volunteer to bring family or friends food when they have something big going on. There's a site you can schedule with to keep it organized, or you can send a gift card

    @Flick @FemaleIsNotAFeeling So the family or individual going through something has one less thing to worry about, meals...my sister set one up for me when I gave birth so my husband and I wouldn't have to go out. They're pretty nice and it's a nice way to come together
