Only the focused window matters for "you are here".
There are already plenty of hints:
• Window is maximized
• Title/toolbars not dimmed
• You just opened the window
• Backdrop for modal/transient
• Darker shadow
• In-app cursor / focus indicator
• Window focus notification
See the screenshot, looks pretty obvious to me. I seem to recall the design team working on making it even more obvious for 3rd party apps.
@killyourfm I have the same device. Good compromise between laptop / workstation / gaming.
You can “fix” the RGB stuff with https://gitlab.com/asus-linux/asusctl
Anyone interested in digging through recent history (~ last 5 years) and update the Flatpak history page?
I think we can add Pure OS, Steam Deck/OS, Fedora, CentOS, Zorin OS, Pop OS, Mozilla, OBS Studio as adopters.
If Flathub is in scope, the 1B downloads and 2000 apps milestones.
I might give it a go otherwise. Anything else noteworthy you can remember of?
A bit last minute, but I have applied for the GNOME Foundation Board 2023 election to work on
• decentralize the GNOME in-person conference to make it more resilient and accessible
• explore opportunities to fund strategic and critical development on the GNOME project (core components, a11y, …)
If you're a GNOME foundation member, you can support my candidacy by leaving a comment on Discourse.

Voting will start 22-06-2023
Great news for Linux gamers.
Steam will soon use the desktop portal file picker.
In practice, it means Steam will use your native desktop method for selecting and saving files, resulting in better user experience and desktop integration.
This is one of many things Flatpak and GNOME pioneered that improves the Linux desktop for everyone.

#WebKitGTK is looking for a #Linux user with #NVIDIA GPU to help debug an issue with the #GTK 4 port.
You should be comfortable patching and compiling a system package.
