Any politician, journalist, media outlet...or even the dude at the end of the bar - if they try to convince you that you didn't see what you saw, or that it doesn't mean what you know it means, or that Musk didn't understand what it meant or it was a mistake...
That person thinks some people need to be deported or killed, and would stand aside if not help when the time comes.

@dave @zleap Corporate social media allows a handful of people shape reality. If we can't get people off of corporate social media, we'll never reverse the global shift to the far-right driven by those intent on burning everything in sight, which means we'll never solve the climate crisis.
Finding a way for all of us to get our family, friends, and colleagues off of services provided by Meta, X, TikTok and even YouTube, is the only way forward.

Following American news is like a bad acid trip that just won't end.
We hear about a crime for months or years; junior co-conspirators are arrested—some willing to cooperate—but convicted and jailed quickly & easily via overwhelming evidence.
...yet the conspirator at the center of the criminal conduct manages to walk away.
Which case am I talking about? Could be a few different Trump related cases we all know about, right?

@chargrille I don't have the contacts to start this process, but I'd suggest anyone that has access to the ears of mega-wealthy non-fascists to urge them to create a fund that will allow the abundance dev/IT talent on the fediverse to build and support open-source platforms that rival corporate social media end-user experience in every way. The work is well underway, but they need financial support for bigger dev, content & marketing teams.

Why suppress votes IRL where people can document and collect evidence of it?
Instead, suppress votes via people's social media feeds.
X, Facebook & Instagram gradually became completely closed spaces with proprietary algorithms. They can show discouraging posts to whoever they want to. They can hide popular posts from whoever they want to.
Many registered—but didn't bother to vote. No way to know why.

Like the Dominion/Smartmatic lawsuits, right wing propagandists that use disinformation as a weapon must be challenged using all legal means available.
Leaving the playing field wide open to their dishonest and destructive attacks, or cowering from their BS, is not an option because it encourages more of the same.
I'd love to see funds raised nationally so that communities and private citizens can hit them in the pocket book early and often.
