It feels really hard to celebrate my country right now. How do I celebrate a country with detention camps? I know there are great people here, who are working toward a better tomorrow, but it feels nuts to want to shoot off fireworks right now. Add on this massive heat wave that most of the United States is going through, and I'm just feeling trapped. Of course, then I feel ungrateful, I have a place to live, I'm not in a camp, I have food, and friends. My mental health feels less than stellar right now. Anyway, sorry for the brain dump, I just wanted to be honest, it feels so complicated right now, what do we do, how do we help? I love you all. I hope you're safe, cool, and have a good weekend. If Democrats really want to prove they are on our side, then campaigns need to heavily emphasize making laws about A.I. Trump said he was going to then he had a conversation with his billionaire buddies, and suddenly it disappears.

Regulation of A.I. genuinely seems to be a bipartisan issues, as people have watched it snake it's way into our lives. A.I. will be a part of the future, whether we want it or not, the laws have to catch up.

I went to a church youth group for awhile that had a husband and wife leading it. The woman was the pastor's daughter. At some point, I realized he was significantly older than her, and did some math. He had to have started dating her when she was 16 and he was in his late 20's. Fucking gross, I told my parents I would no longer be going shortly after. I saw her later, and found out he was pretty abusive, which wasn't surprising, but still very sad. Luckily, she had left him.

Anyway, feel free to vent a church story if you'd like.

Honestly, the list here goes on for entirely too long. I've lived 44 years, and never beat someone, this isn't complicated. It's so strange to me that a woman who has been abused and used, since she was a child, gets so much flack, and abusers just get to keep going on about their lives, many never even apologized, and many more haven't even changed their behavior. It creeps me out how casually abusive behavior is both accepted and expected. I'm not saying there aren't problematic women, because clearly there are, just highlighting the differences in how people react to male vs female controversy.
