The coloring of the skin,the facial features, and the hair feel so life like, it's like you could touch it. It has a warmth to it like it was painted in the Golden Hour. Behind him are what look like wilted roses. They believe the subject was from a traveling side show where white people could gawk at how "Savages" live. They were often cruel and abusive.
