   @RickiTarr 100% - Every day I try to break the trauma cycle set by my the men that came before me.

   My daughter gets the best version of me so that she doesn't grow up with the same toxicity I grew up with.

   It's a daily battle and I'm not always successful. But It's a conscience effort to break the cycle.

     "We all become our parents."

     That's cool, if your parents were great. More power to you!

     But if they weren't, we can help heal ourselves by breaking generational trauma. We don't have to become them, or at least not the ugly toxic things, and we certainly don't have to spread them to other people.
