@prehensile I follow some coder/ tech types who post about coding/ tech things that might as well just be saying, "And you don't understand this, you don't know what this is, and here's another thing you have no idea about, what's this? You wouldn't know would you?"

But there's obviously enthusiasm and a deep love of what they're doing so it doesn't really matter.

For example, I just bookmarked a post sharing an article on Bronze Age Islanders and whether they might have fished or not.

It sounds like the most boring thing to read I can imagine, but you know what, the person who posted it thought it was worth reading and so I will in a bit.

My horizons have broadened somewhat since being on here. It's so cool to be exposed to people and their eclectic thoughts, passions, and interests.

@VPS_Reports Before I get into it I got to the end of the post where it said ‘they really give anyone a gun and a badge’ and I was like, “What?” and then I reread the first sentence of the post (or read it for the first time apparently).

There really are directed energy weapons, in fact I find it quite surprising that none of it has shown up against protestors here in the US. Israel is busy putting together ‘Iron Beam’, god only knows what bullshit the US military has these days BUT, and this is the important bit, we have to use critical reasoning to garner an idea of what is more likely to be causing critical weather events.

Behind door number we have catastrophic human made climate change arrived at with overwhelming scientific evidence, repeatable experiments, and an unheard of consensus (high 90%) amongst climatologists.

Behind door number two we have some dumb-dumb from the LA County Sheriff’s department telling us it’s all down to DEWish space lasers.

I've hardly ever used Google. I always thought it was a stupid name, like Yahoo and their search engine. I used to use Altavista, because at least that was a halfway cool name.

Now I use Startpage, BUT, in my defense they used to be Ixquick, so you can see why I chose them over all the others.

The Feds are welcome to all my kolektiva posts and replies, especially the ones where I describe the feds as shit-eating buckets of chum-scum with as much right to life as a flesh eating bacteria on a package holiday in Barcelona.
