Being an on-time person, I used to think this. But I have a couple chronically late friends who become so frazzled and anxious over their lateness that it messes with their mental health, and I’ve been told this is not uncommon in chronically late people.
They are functioning, smart humans. But they literally can’t properly mentally plan what has to happen to leave home and get somewhere on time. It’s wild. https://botsin.space/@merlinwisdom/112823894032107771
Anyone remember the famous John Popper story about breaking toilets? I know I didn’t imagine this, but I’m just seeing bits and pieces in Reddit when I Google.
Great observation that I agree with.
I like that over here I’m simply getting mad about the news itself but not getting mad at people/trolls offering inflammatory clickbait commentary on the news—if that makes sense.
Some of that is due to more homogeneous political views over here, but it’s also because this platform isn’t designed to drive activity through rage.

Congrats to #Spain. They were the best team all tournament and played to win.
LOL #England. I guess it did not come home.
Amazing that the country with the most expensive players in the world playing for the most expensive teams in the world has never won the #Euro and last won the World Cup in 1966. Maybe next time try benching the golden boy striker who doesn’t like pressing—the one who has still never won a team trophy.
Pepperoni, hot cherry peppers, and fresh garlic. Aka, the crane kick of pizza topping combos.
Visiting family in NJ for the first time in a year. Morning thoughts:
1) Hit a diner for dinner bc we got in late. Good Jersey diner food is so good, but I was shocked when I saw it closed at midnight. When the fuck did diners stop being 24/7?
2) Humidity is ass. The #1 reason we don’t want to move back east.
3) New Phish album is pleasant and not terrible. I’m grading a bit on a curve, but it could have been much worse.
4) The Taylor Ham, Egg & Cheese is the best breakfast sandwich ever.
Private condo and rental developments going up all over town. Corporations with no limits on the amount of single family homes they can buy and then rent out for profit. But let’s try to put a tiny dent in the city’s affordable housing problem with a regressive tax.

@LittleTokyo Your commitment to sporting events that aren’t part of the American mainstream is continuously impressive.
Now I’m officially jealous of everyone hitting the Mann tonight.

@Kshawn @mrcompletely @FlashMobOfOne I dunno. While I can’t defend a lot of his work when viewed through the lens of today, the understanding of sexual assault was fundamentally different back then. And on race, his movies were set in white suburbia which was a race bubble.
Was he ever confronted on these issues later in life?
@FlashMobOfOne Definitely feeling that vibe. Bunch of whiny brats blaming their careers fading on all the…
…publicity and fame they got.
Ok, sure.
Watching the new Brat Pack documentary on Hulu.
Emilio Estevez in the doc is the same age Martin Sheen was in West Wing, and I’ve never felt older in my life.
Anyone need vibes?
If so, I got ya covered.
Take 3.5 minutes to watch this and then just try to tell me you didn’t score any serotonin out of the deal.
@LittleTokyo I think the most amazing thing about that video is it’s an actual human talking and not a computer generated voice

@FlashMobOfOne But even that sub plot was so annoying given that it largely evolved around played out “shitty judge” and “good guy in bad prison” stories.
@FlashMobOfOne About halfway through I turned to my wife and said “I wonder who they want us to root for because I hate everyone.”
