This is the #1 use of AI that worries me.

AI being used for arts to replace human creativity blows. Corporations replacing good-paying white collar jobs with AI to boost profits blows.

However, the ability of AI to synthesize billions of private communications—from texts to emails to Slacks to Teams to phone calls to video calls/conferences to DMs—is downright scary—and it’s happening under the guise of “national security” and “corporate security.”

I think I’m going to counter the #CovidIsNotOver hashtags with true stories like:

“Five friends had Covid in the last month. All were vaccinated caught it enjoying regular activities unmasked. 3 recovered in less than a week. The other 2 were barely sick. All are fine now.”

And then tag the stories:

Heading to Kansas City for a short work trip. Been starving myself all day in hopes of grabbing some heady BBQ after I land. Just started looking at places to hit and there doesn’t seem to be a single joint open past 9pm on a Sunday. I land at 830. Probably should have planned better.

Any time I get annoyed at hamband ticketing, I’m going to remember that Metallica has two stadium shows in Denver next Summer going on sale next week ONLY if you buy both shows. If you just want to see one, you can’t buy tickets until January.

Who would have thought that after several years of “mids” Dicks runs that the year they finally bring back the magic is following the festival? Safe to say most assumed the festival would rip and Dicks would be mailed in.

I don’t know if Harris’s PR strategy is prudent or sustainable, but it sure is fun right now. A presidential candidate hasn’t made me feel this good (not good as in confident of winning but just good rooting for them) since Obama in 2008.

Part of me hates that our politics has devolved into this. But Trump is a bully. The way to stop a bully is to punch them in the mouth. Always has been. Always will be.
