@thomasfuchs I think it's that (proper, non-generative) art involves experiencing something from another person's perspective, and they really struggle with that in all sorts of ways.

@SwiftOnSecurity I distinctly remember blue LEDs becoming available to hobbyists. Red/Yellow/Green LEDs were about 15p from Maplin (in UK, like Radio Shack), but blue were like £5 each.

@thomasfuchs What are these people smoking? Of course the pilot is qualified! Do they honestly think that DEI means you can skip the lessons and jump straight into the front seats?

@thomasfuchs We don’t have any lèse-majesté laws. When people are asking why they’re being arrested, the answer they’re given is “we’ll decide later, now get in the van”.

@thomasfuchs I find it hard to understand why people get so upset and angry on social media. If someone is being a knob, they get muted and I forget they existed. Perhaps the anger is a feature for some people.

@TechConnectify @thomasfuchs I made the mistake of putting a car rental deposit on my debit card once. It put a €700 hold on my current (checking) account for a month. Credit card wouldn’t have mattered because it’s a fraction of the total limit and it’s not my money they’re holding. But €700 of my own cash tied up for a month was very annoying.
