The thing that drives me most nuts on social media is when you point a misconception or falsehood out to someone and—instead of them taking it as a learning opportunity—they play "logical fallacy relay race" with you; every reply is a new fallacy.

For example:
They: "First photo-realistic CGI was the dancing baby GIF."
Me: "Hey, photo-realistic CGI in movies dates back to Jurassic Park (1993) and earlier, even into the 1980s"
They: "No they were animatronic."
Me: "Look it up, lots of scenes 100% CGI."
They: "I googled 15 seconds and found this random video that supports my true fact knowledge that they were mostly animatronic, so you're totally wrong."
(At this point I block people because they're a lost cause.)

@thomasfuchs lol, love the idea that the colossal brontosauri and running herds of ... velociraptors was it? were all animatronic. Righto.

@Arpie4Math No, it's not. "Photorealistic" means that most people (who aren't computer graphics or photo forensics experts) will think it's a real thing shown, especially in the context of a movie where there's other stuff going on.

@thomasfuchs those dinos were certainly more photorealistic than that dancing baby.
