It’s a boilerplate clause in many search warrants. CYA, ya know?

The worst thing a woman can do to herself is believe all the crap men say about women. -

Unless it’s happening today we ignore it. We’ll pay lip service to the problem but make no real progress. It’s a form of “out of sight, out of mind”.

True, but IMHO there was a period in the 60s where it seemed the youth of America were starting to appreciate the suffering of masses of people in other countries. The Peace Corps was an example of growing empathy. Even the WPA showed an awareness of the needs of others. Then it all went to hell in the 70s and 80s. -

It seems to me that our society is losing more of its empathy every day. We can only sympathize with a few people at a time. Large numbers of victims are beyond our ability to grasp. -

It boggles my mind that we have no effective, Constitutional method of blocking those who seek to undermine democracy from doing so. It appears our "god given, inalienable rights" mean nothing. Once the fascists are defeated (again) we're going to have to make sure the underpinnings of our nation, e.g. the right to vote, equal rights for all, etc., get codified into federal law in such a way as they will be forever protected. Anything less and we'll be fighting them continuously. -

Sad to say, that may not be safe. If it were me, I'd consider New Mexico, Oregon, or even Northern California. I suspect you'd get a better reception there.
Not that there aren't decent people in Montana, they're just harder to find and not too many of them will be "cowboys". -

You’re welcome. I was born in California where the Navy kept overt racism at bay. Later I spent 13 years in Idaho, and had my first serious introduction to racism. It’s sad, because some of those white supremacist strongholds are the most beautiful parts of the NorthWest. -
