Politics is local. Change begins at grassroots.
Some people cry every 4 yrs that no one represents them, that no candidate meets their criteria, there is no meaningful 3rd party.
I ask them what they've done for their cause in the past 4 yrs.
Creating the change we want to see is difficult, often unpleasant work. It takes time. Look at civil rights movement, women's suffrage, the labor movement. Do the hard work, vote, and carry on.

50 gop military veterans in Congress signed a letter accusing Tim Walz of "stolen valor". Walz retired honorably from the National Guard after 24 years of service.
29 of the 50 signers, all of whom claimed they retired from the military, are not military retirees. The list includes an admiral demoted for misconduct and a Congressman without combat experience who lied about his service.

@StillIRise1963 I can't fathom why there is not more emphasis on this. 8 presidents have died in office. Trump already looks and sounds sick. It's a very real possibility that he may not be able to serve a full term.
If a VP ascends to the presidency, she/he is required by law to nominate a new VP, who is then confirmed by Congress. One can only imagine who Vance might choose as his VP.

In retrospect it didn't do much for my socialization. 😥
