Putting the whole gait issue aside for a
moment it's really, really bizarre that we have a presidential nominee who dances for his audiences. We have normalized so much outlandish behavior.

I did the same with Bush II, although in comparison to trump W almost looks like an elder statesman.

@HistoPol @GottaLaff I never referred to him as the president, even while he occupied the office. He was, and is not, worthy of the title.

@flexghost It's nearly impossible to fact check these liars. They are all over the Internet all the time, seeking out the uninformed and gullible.
Trying not to despair about the firehose of lies. It's an uphill battle for the foreseeable future.

@_L1vY_ I appreciate that all three Dems at this press conference, Jeffries, Clark, and Aguilar referred to maga extremists and the Putin caucus. This is truthful, powerful, and absolutely necessary language. It bears repeating again and again.

@hankg Thank you. The cave rescue incident brouhaha started me questioning musk on a couple of different levels. He is not who he initially appeared to be.

@kevinrns Normally Palm Springs doesn't open its cooling centers on Sunday-makes no sense to me-but they will do so this weekend. Unhoused can use those facilities. Obviously this is just a bandaid covering two festering wounds, homelessness and climate change. Both are tough, multifaceted problems that can no longer be ignored.

It's happening today. More and more people who thought they were safe from the dire consequences of climate change are seeing those changes in their own back yards. When it's no longer an abstract concept people may be spurred to take action.

@feditips I normally have a 500 character limit, but have discovered that sometimes when replying to a post my characters are limited to far fewer. Is this because I am replying to an account on a server that severely limits characters?
It has happened maybe half a dozen times. No big deal. Just curious.
