How fortunate to have such wonderful friends!

Yesterday we adopted two young Akbash livestock guardian dogs. They’re doing amazing so far, friendly and responsive with us, calm and protective of all our poultry. 🥰

Been out walking the property with them all morning. Now we’re all taking naps. 😆

Still need to get some pics.

@Djeep — the most effective lies have a strong basis in truth. They’re not wrong about everything, which can make it harder for some to see the depths of their errors.

Sadly, it took me almost two decades to realize the full extent of their propaganda. Their coverage of Syria was what *finally* fully opened my eyes. 🤦🏻♀️

I still listen once in awhile, for insight and understanding of how some people, like many old friends, view the world. And sometimes I even glean actually useful information. :D

What’s been the most effective bait you’ve used on a snap trap?

I’ve had semi-decent success in the past with half a grape twist-tied to the bait plate. (I read somewhere that they seek out moisture as much as food.) Peanut butter or cheese never seem to work nearly as well.

But I’m eager to try other baits! Or other methods altogether (besides poison or sticky traps).

Religious exemptions for flu vaxxes:

A Christian friend is trying to figure out how to avoid his workplace’s flu vaxx mandate. He successfully avoided the coof jab, since it used fetal cells, with a religious exemption. He’s now looking for a solid religious rationale to reject the flu shots, which don’t contain fetal cells.

Any ideas?

It’s her short vocal runs around 03:07 that look to me like they might be lip-synced. 🤷🏻♀️

@SirAnthony — I also don’t drink and dislike hanging out with drunk people. Fortunately, I always enjoyed myself at the many NA meetups I attended in the Colorado Springs and Denver area.

I was often not the only one not drinking, and those who drank almost always showed good restraint. On the rare occasion someone seemed tipsy and became less enjoyable to converse with, it was easy enough to just move to a different conversation.

Arriving early and moving as needed should work out well. :)
