Well, NAS was my last run at social media of any variety.

If it’s not going to be a thing, maybe social media isn’t for me.

Oh well it was a pretty good run while it lasted.

So my company does this point system where you can nominate each other for rewards and then you can cash these in for stuff from most mainstream retailers (like any store you’d find in the average mall).

Long story short I have ~600 bucks I could spend at any traditional mall store type stuff.

I want to spend it since we are being bought out…

But I literally cannot find any mainstream garbage I want.

Oh noes! Chris Christie is out of the presidential race. I wonder who his tens of supporters will throw in with now.

I’m also of the opinion that the age of the earth is not a salvation issue, and God could absolutely have been using poetic or metaphorical language when describing the creation to Moses.

I’m ok with not knowing for sure and trusting God with mysteries until they are revealed.

TLDW points I picked up on:
The people on TV, politicians and activist may well just be mentally ill.

Social media and the internet are potentially dangerous to our view of ourselves and others.

We need to look for reasonable and thoughtful ideas and opinions and not just the sensational and entertaining.

Smoked meatloaf, real mashed potatoes and steamed corn! It’s the sort of thing g that hungry-man TV dinners aspire to be.

During our thanksgiving family get together at one point I observed 6 grown adults watching Bluey after all the kids were asleep or off playing, and debating the merits of one episode over another and which dogs were most like which kids etc.

It’s was pretty wholesome.

Can you imagine that there are people in 2023 who don’t believe in the total depravity of mankind?

(I’m speaking here of the conservative/orthodox Christian doctrine that states all mankind are fallen creatures who of thier own accord can do nothing to fix their nature)

How much more evidence could they possibly need?

I wonder if future generations will look back at our current time period and refer to it as the digital dark ages.

Well… I’m done with the internet for a few days. It’s gonna be all broke back senate for the next week or so I fear.

That feeling when you are working like a rented mule and get paid less than Hunter Biden spends on porn in a year.

Some people person needs to start an organization called “Just Stop Stupid” who’s sole purpose for existence is to stop all the other “Just Stop” movements by explaining that gluing yourself to streets or destroying art are just stupid, and not actually helping.

Got the quillions (little blades) done and this thing is ready to gift to my buddy.

His daughter is battling cancer and wanted a lightsaber, can’t wait to hear about her reaction when she sees this thing.

Couple of first for me on this project. First saber I’ve used 3D printed parts on the exterior. First crossgaurd hilt.

Somebody with more knowledge and experience needs to make a “Current Thing” filter for the web and social media.

Maybe take whatever the top 10 trending Twitter topics and top 10 trending searches, and anything that meets both criteria is a “current thing”.

Then all phones and browsers need a toggle so you can turn the “current thing“ on an off at your discretion.

I’d pay a buck a month, willing to bet I’m not alone.

Fact 1: You cannot trust the Palestinians to tell the truth.

Fact 2: You cannot trust the Israelis to tell the truth.

Fact 3: You cannot trust the media to faithfully relay whatever is said or done by either side without bias or corruption.

Fact 4: You probably don’t own a sophisticated intelligence agency able to get to the truth of things for you.

Reasonable conclusion: You have no idea what’s going on, and getting emotionally involved doesn’t help them or you.
