@SirAnthony — I also don’t drink and dislike hanging out with drunk people. Fortunately, I always enjoyed myself at the many NA meetups I attended in the Colorado Springs and Denver area.
I was often not the only one not drinking, and those who drank almost always showed good restraint. On the rare occasion someone seemed tipsy and became less enjoyable to converse with, it was easy enough to just move to a different conversation.
Arriving early and moving as needed should work out well. :)

@VegasKing the reason I ask is that it is no small thing for me to go. There is a regular meet up about 3.5 hours from here and I think there have been a couple within 2-3 hours. I wasn't concerned about pressure at all, just that I often don't enjoy being around drunk people.

@SirAnthony While I do imbibe. I have been to a rather large Vegas meetup. There was zero pressue. More like a cool hang at a place to eat and talk with a bunch of new people. We were there for about 2 hours. Im sure it went longer. Yet for that 2 hours all were sane and easy going.

Has anyone who does not drink ever gone to a meet up? I have no moral objection to alcohol, I just decided to stop drinking 5 years ago and felt better without it.
But honestly, these events seem to be primarily drinking events. That's cool with me if that's your thing, but drinking based events are things I generally avoid because drunk people are kind of annoying when you aren't drinking.
Has anyone who doesn't drink gone and how was it?
