@forteller lol sorry I've been experimenting with this hand-me-down Apple Watch (largely because my ignorance about wearables is no longer appropriate,) which is where I received the notification for this reply... and chuckled at the fact that it was offering me standard quick replies because there is not a single Mastodon client installed on the watch.
...so I was very astonished to see that the reply worked??? somehow.
if you haven't already looked into it, iOS 17's App Privacy Reports seem to be a uniquely truthful taddletale on iOS/iPadOS apps' actual network activity.
(wish I had screenshots immediately handy of some examples but I remember specifically discovering that Firefox's app had been consuming more bandwidth per day than the next 20 apps on the list even though I hadn't opened it in months.)
@Gargron oh yes, I do too miss the physical process very much. I never experienced the adaptive choral/rising soundtrack natively (can't remember now what conditions had to be met,) but every time I think about it/hear it, I get immediately emotional remembering how purely/wholesomely exciting consumer technology was going to be.
...and later, guilty, because I absolutely got to live that genuinely democratizing/freely educating moment and was given *so* much more than I've put back in.
@fediversereport I’d like to think I had something to do with this considering I’ve been bothering Nilay about interviewing Eugen since before he launched Decoder hehe. nervous about listening to it, though.
