    @owncast

    @tio made a 5 hour documentary (divided into 4 parts) that he'll upload to his #Peertube instance. He made it all by himself and only using FOSS programs like #Kdenlive, #Inkscape, #Krita, etc. Here's the trailer for the documentary if you're interested - https://videos.trom.tf/w/uzsWV9z42KKG61HduWrryW

      TROM II: A Message to The Aliens (trailer)
      from TROM
      We live in a world where everyone is busy, everyone is consumed, everyone seems confused. Money, social credits, ads, data collection, prices and billionaires. Climate change? Who cares! A one-marble world, floating in a giant soup of stars and planets, clustered in donut-shaped galaxies. What are these humans living for? In a 5 hour, 4 parts documentary, we try to explore their world, to understand what makes them human, what makes them enslave their kind, destroy their habitat, and be unaware of their place in this universe. But also what makes them so special. Through the lives of 5 humans, we look at the culture that creates them, their struggles growing up on this planet, and where they are headed toward. @jamescridland @jaredwhite There's no point in arguing about semantics. For me the real issue with Spotify exclusive podcasts is that I can't access them from my favorite podcast player (@AntennaPod). So this is an issue of accessibility and freedom to choose how you wanna listen. This is why platforms like Spotify is known as a walled garden, not supporting open standards like RSS was a deliberate decision to keep people locked onto their platform & apps.

    I think Friendica has a bridge that allows you to connect to your Twitter account and manage it from within Friendica itself. I'm not sure how well it works now, I think @tio uses it so he might be able to give us more info.

    I really like how flexible Friendica is when it comes to privacy, you can specifically choose which users can and can't see your posts. There are some predefined groups you can use there like Followers, Mutuals, etc, but you can also create your own groups with a specific set of users in it.
