You know where you don’t have to worry about such things? Host your videos on a #PeerTube instance and use #Owncast for your live video streaming needs.

@owncast owncast is fun esp when you want extra quality to stream to your friends with enough bandwidth
also the passthrough stream option is really neat to use with obs because then I don't need a beefy server to reencode

@tio made a 5 hour documentary (divided into 4 parts) that he'll upload to his #Peertube instance. @shadowsminder @owncast@.org heya, Owncast is separate from Peertube (CC: @peertube ) but wow you’re totally right. I just searched LGBTQ with https://search.joinpeertube.org/ … and the first few pages brought up a few gross hate vids.
I’m on tilvids.com which is fine.

My first search showed a strong homophobic/anti-queer bias, which dissuaded me against looking for any more videos or streaming/hosting information.

@owncast Ublock Origin seems to work well for Youtube. Every now and then I mistakenly open YT in an unprotected browser and recoil in horror.
If you are using Android. Kiwi browser is like desktop Chrome, and will run Ublock Origin.
