currently installing pkgsrc on chimera linux

gotta tell it to use llvm/clang and i think i need to pass -fPIC or maybe the inverse of that idk. need to suss this last bit out to get non-bootstrap packages to link.

it's always the linker.

got it working. needed to pass -fPIC to the compiler and tweak mk.conf just a hair so as to use system libraries when possible.

i documented it as a page for my website. i'm slowly expanding that thing with bits of knowledge i find or need to make...
