@tk @purple Is it because Chrysler is now a Dutch Company (Stellantis) wearing the zombie remains of an Italian Company (Fiat) wearing the zombie remains of an American dinosaur?

@banjofox2 @thegibson One of the stats could be BEARD, it’s probably a cool acronym, it applies to all genders even ones that don’t or won’t grow facial hair in physical, it’s always visible with the right mods in virtual spaces, it grows with virtual power, and the numeric scale is something like 1, 2, 3, 5, NECK, WIZARD

@zarfeblong @cstross Also “unpasteurized milk” is so weirdly in the same woo woo homeopathy complex as anti-vax and “paleo diets” and “vitamin” supplements that aren’t actually vitamins. The distrust of experts and “science words” makes “pasteurized” sound like a dirty word and “raw milk” somehow a better, more “natural”, “return to simpler times” alternative. Just intentionally oblivious to the high death tolls of “simpler times”.

@dlakelan @ZachWeinersmith Bolt isn’t a hybrid. Chevy’s hybrid was the Volt. (Still stopped.) Chevy marketing’s single letter difference did no one any favors. Bolt is cheapest entry level Chevy’s Model 3 competitor. Its shutdown was just for retooling for model upgrades but apparently shareholders don’t like “retooling” this decade so they sold it as shutdown instead. (Again marketing doing no one favors in the few months it looked like GM only cared about premium EVs.)

@dlakelan @ZachWeinersmith Hybrids are up in sales but mostly the only company selling hybrids now is Toyota (again), late to the EV party, and mostly just meaning that Prius is having a good year again (back to pre-Tesla numbers almost, to my understanding) despite looking out of date and Toyota best almost EV in years where they don’t have good EVs but are still a trusted US brand. Old marketing momentum
