I guess they imagine that will be them someday but my imagination doesn’t stretch that far.

I’m losing

Having one of those days when I'm at work and my mind keeps wandering to things like "some humans actually grow whole new humans inside themselves, wow that's so weird"

@skinnylatte Getting stuck in a car in a tunnel like that is a nightmare of mine, so I'd definitely bike too

@skinnylatte the thing I liked about silent hill 2 and 3 was there was an easy mode that let me wander around and enjoy the atmosphere and solve puzzles without getting killed all the time

Would really like to find more games like that

Could the star trek creators please please please remove the elon musk (positive) reference from discovery? At this point it half ruins the show

@voxofgod I dunno if it's that or lazy writers that didn't do any research, and I don't know which is worse.

Granted, it was pre-2018 when it was filmed I think but the signs were there (2018 was when he did enough jerky stuff publicly that I was like "oh, he's a giant asshole")

I give it ~4 months until Social Security payments are exclusively distributed through the site formerly known as Twitter

I find myself hoping for large scale social security interruptions. Like, payments immediately ceasing. It's the only thing I can think of that will wake people up. (And then I hope those responsible are replaced and it's fixed quickly)

I know that won't happen. Payments might get slower, people will have to fight harder for them, a small amount of people will be denied completely, but most will just shrug and go "well, it's not THAT bad"

(Exactly like people staying on Twitter)

@skinnylatte that seems like it would help. Does she sleep on her side? I always feel awful when I sleep on my back (my knees and back hurt)

I don't currently need the machine but my partner is probably getting one soon, taking notes haha

@skinnylatte my big problem with it is it seems so uncomfortable, I toss and turn so much. I feel like I'd get tangled

We put cabinet locks on to keep cats out and cat is big mad

@BethanyBlack one of the last apartments I rented took the whole deposit even though they kicked us out because they were totally renovating the apartment anyway to rent it for more

Even in the best work places, it seems like the messaging is "you *can* stay home when sick"

It really needs to shift to "you *must/should* stay home when sick"

Watching sickness rip through my work, causing a lot of time out, and it's entirely unnecessary. We've learned nothing at all from the last 4 years
