   A coworker says the only way to get out of the tunnel traffic in Monterey during the summer is to bike.

   I was once stuck in it: 1h (0.5 miles). Never again. Looking forward to all my bike rides there this summer. (Many people don’t live locally. They have to go to San Jose or Santa Cruz, and during rush hour it can be as long as my off-peak commute back to San Francisco). There’s only one tunnel in and out of New Monterey, where the Aquarium is

     @skinnylatte Getting stuck in a car in a tunnel like that is a nightmare of mine, so I'd definitely bike too

     @nirak yeah and the coastal trail parallel to the road is no cars, and super beautiful
