@goatsarah @antranigv I’ve lived over ten years in the U.S. now. I get farenheit and miles and inches and pounds and such.
Pints and fluid ounces and such is just witchcraft. No bueno.

@luigithirty I want one of those Ethernet cards. Would be lovely.
Are you running that software that outs the kickstart in RAM so it’s faster?
@inthehands hehe, I know:) I mean he’s not dumb and didn’t do bad work. He was doing well last I heard. But he didn’t retain the stuff he crammed. It was a party trick.
But I swear he could have gotten a few extra degrees in those four years. Well if he hadn’t partied so much at least.
@inthehands I went to college with a guy that had an amazing ability to pass exams. Not smarter than the rest of us otherwise in general, but he was absolutely amazing at quickly study some books, retain all of it, and pass any test with ease.
Me, I’m terrible at it:(
@mac84tv @qlp I’d say upgrade from day one. The included one is weak and it’s never good running so close to the limit so to speak.
WiFi works but isn’t amazing. If you can use Ethernet, then that’s a good thing.
If you have a NAS and hook it up to Ethernet I’d suggest looking into if you can use NFS. SDCards are what they are, and being able tot wipe one or replace with it a new if things are wonky is a great thing. Sometimes updates can make things a bit interesting.
GL!
@mac84tv The MiSTer is one fun little toy:) It’s a shame there’s gaps on the Apple side of things. Would love a Lisa, a better Mac, a IIGS, etc core.
Console wise it’s very solid.
@goatsarah Sounds like Minnesota. Very high humidity in the summer, very low in the winter. It’s terrible for wooden instruments:(
Only reason I can come up with for renewables to follow the prices would be if every penny of that was reinvested in more renewables. I bet that’s not the case:(
@sayomgwtf I want to hear more about the dog instead :)
@mac84tv You brought out the mallet… :)
@mac84tv Brand PCs always makes me worried about no standard custom solutions. Never owned one myself due to that. If it’s a PC, it’s a build myself box for me.
The hammer intrigues me enough that I will watch the video :)
@goatsarah I always keep a version behind these days. :(
@goatsarah I wonder if someone’s built a gaming rig desktop case for a Pi and done watercooling and everything.
I wonder the dumbest things.
So what shall the Pi do? Got anything lined up for it?
@mac84tv Another vote for Ivory. It works and haven’t made me go looking further :)
@goatsarah OpenWRT is useful (using it on two APs currently), but boy can networking and setting it up be an endless circle of confusion:(
Good luck!

@goatsarah @rachel_norfolk Could it be climate related? Any other connectors do the same? Only lightning issues I’ve had are bends that crack the cable (which means it’s my wife’s cable. No shade or hate, I’m just unusually careful with stuff). Which is a pretty generic cable issue.
Must be horribly frustrating to have to switch out cables that often:(
@DavidBFox @goatsarah @Gamrok I think “wait for gamepass/etc” is the game version, and it kinda saddens me. I think SaaS can have a negative effect on fun as addictive becomes more important. Imho at least.
The best games are the ones you remember a long time later.
@DavidBFox @Gamrok This is one of the nicer ones I’ve seen. It was usually very aggressive and heavily punishment focused.
Kinda makes me wish that there was a way to get this message in your newest games as well. For that nostalgic feel. I haven’t played Thimbleweed park in forever, I should do so. But I’ll probably go for a different platform (the iPad purchase was a mistake) this time.
(I’m not kidding, bring back the code books for retro games:))
@goatsarah Wasn’t aware of exactly how bad it can get, but anyone talking about medical issues as a “choice” can fuck right off.
Also auto immune is really scary shit:( Few things can unravel your life and turn it into a living hell as your immune system turning on you.
@goatsarah Your mistake was hitting 49 last year.
My mistake will be hitting 47 in a week.
My first computer was a C128, and everything has been downhill since.Interested in retro and modern retro projects.I know how to code.
