“…With respect to content that is already on the open web, the social contract of that content since the ’90s has been that it is fair use. Anyone can copy it, recreate with it, reproduce with it. That has been freeware, if you like. That’s been the understanding."
What kind of fscked up take on "fair use" is that? Oh, because it's AI, so everything is thrown out the window?
So, Microsoft is willingly and openly commiting copyright infringement on content that, at least in the US, has copyright that is automatically applied on works created whether or not a copyright notice is posted.
@thomasfuchs That is if you could even get all of that installed in an hour, even if all of the disks were in the correct order and they were all in working condition 😂
@thomasfuchs I truncated the article title because it is a word salad thanks to them just listing out the Noctua coolers that will be available for the Ampere Alta socket.
@thomasfuchs They have and STH has covered the Apple Silicon Mac minis; but, they are focusing on Altra Ampere developer workstations in that post.
The development workstations from Adlink either liquid cooling or a non-standard heatsink. If you DIY a system using other boards out there, you would have to figure out how to adapt another heatsink or you're limited to 1U or 2U heatsinks found in servers that don't work well in a tower configuration.
I know there are teething pains when it comes to new vehicle platforms and new infotainment systems, but to have it affect things like the digital dashboard *while* saying that Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are "unsafe" fills me up to the brim with schadenfreude.

Yay: Volkswagen, Porsche and Audi are switching over to NACS in North America, including adapters for existing vehicles
Meh: It won't happen until 2025
At this point, Volvo/Polestar and BMW have overtaken Volkswagen/Porsche/Audi on my list of brands/marques to consider, at least when it comes to European companies

@mac84tv@breadbin I have a Mean Well 5V 4A power supply that came with my MultiSystem kit and seems to be highly recommended if you use external USB drives or any add-ons that draw a bit of power.
I would highly recommend getting a fan to cool it, as the passively-cooled case from MA gets pretty toasty after 10-15 minutes of use.
@breadbin@mac84tv I haven't played with the computer MiSTer cores, but it's really amazing to see what has been created and matured over the past few years.
I have two right now, one installed on a MiSTer MultiSystem v1 board and simple Monster Joysticks "case". The other one is in the living room and is in a Mister Addons passively-cooled case.
I want to set up the former with a 4:3 LCD monitor in my room to experiment with the computer cores and dedicate the latter for arcade and console cores.
