@screwtape speaking of #sm0lnet, what if you where only allowed a set limit of followers/follows? That'd yield one a Gemini flair right away?! @timnewsham
@screwtape slightly off topic though it has potential for some giggles, I recall how Mastodon's Gorgon(iirc) lamented how his significant other couldn't easily stay in touch with some hand-wavy millions of Instagram people ;).
This message is going to self-destruct after handful of reads, no kidding! =) @timnewsham
@KarunaX Busy spreading the slanderous claims you mean? You can expect me on calling you out on the lies uttered then.
I don't expect you'd change your mind, but for those who might want to look for evidence refuting the false claims @KarunaX posited, the above documentary has plenty objective facts to do so. @ohiorob@Ukrainenews
@KarunaX Are you impervious to information in lengths exceeding tidbit's? Go watch it, instead of bickering. Or don't, I suspect you not arguing in good faith and am not going to go out of my way providing summaries for your trolling pleasure.
Yes, it's a long, there is a text version linked in the video footnotes. The curious folks are likely to get a comprehensive outlook of Putin's Russia stoking this conflict since the end of 2013. @ohiorob@Ukrainenews
@KarunaX You provided zero supporting evidence to back your claims (the US instigating the 2014 coup, Ukrainians killing Russians, etc). I've given you one extended document proving all of it false.
I get it if you don't want to listen to the opposing views, but dismissing it on the grounds of not being done to your liking is wrong.
@KarunaX This is ridiculous. All political opposition is either in jail (Kara-Murza, Yashin, Navalny, etc.) or in exile (ACF team, Khodorkovsky to name a few), free press is ousted completely (not a single domestic press outlet says things opposing the Kremlin narratives), election monitoring is thwarted with only chosen few allowed (see Golos cases). I could go on too.
@bsmall2@alxd Such story, taking inspiration of iterative work of inventors, could be a nice first try, unsuccessful, followed by a whole slew of another attempts showing different ways world might go. Certainly cooperation (along with most all of the toolbox civilization has to offer) would pop up in there at some point.
Bummer that such escapism usually suffices to plaster over the pressing problems w/o really presenting a viable solution.
