I have released the fork of the Akkoma FE for decept.org here if you want to run the theme, though it's rough and was meant to just get the look and feel down without cleaning up the code a lot:
@neauoire i've been moving to mozilla stuff and i'm actually kinda astonished how heavy both of their products are. lately i keep using 2006 software and realising they have like, superior experiences...
social sculpture is a valuable phrase; i often focused on interfaces begetting a specific mindset, of how to "treat" what is fundamentally federated CRUD here, but since lent ended and i appeared places online again i just, felt like i was being compelled to re-become thought-protozoa? just saying nothings, as decades go by; why would you even archive any of this? the usenet archive is actionable, researchable, it resembles a discourse, it still has an architecture to its interaction. i feel very frustrated
i wanna set up a discussion board, or a mailing list, or whatever, and outright retire from microblogging, but i don't even know where to start, or what to centre anything around.
or if i just accept that we've become slime mold brain, just barely more evolved than purely emotive output, wrapped in something clever; inc or dec counters on collective cartography; and log off log off.
@nik that sounds cracked and hard. ppl are telling me to use org-mode!!! i've never used emacs in my life!!!

~amon mac -> thinkpad nixos i basically have everything replicated from old workflow which is bizarre; but font rendering kind of offends me, speaker quality not fantastic also. i wanna do an OLED screen assembly replacement but cant yet, the part is available. on the other hand my mac can't play 32-bit windows games and thats a sizeable portion of how i chill out, but i cant imagine playing a movie on this full stop
@allison@wizard i'm willing to give it a fair shake and have two diff ppl think it'll go great and offer to help. i'm not averse to writing a pkg if i need it. mostly it's that arch instability absolutely has fucked with me before, fedora always has One Thing that drives me nuts and pop uses x11 but otherwise was smooth. i'm going for kde wayland vrr on amd, i think this could be a just works thing, but i need to, idk, see
