Have you been receiving a bunch of spam? This is an emergency release with a custom filter added to the Filters tab (scroll to the bottom of that tab) to mute spam mentions. Turn this filter on and it should catch most of them. This will not stop spam push notifications.

We are still finishing up the big Quote Posts update so appreciate your patience on that one! 🙏

@tchambers they are unrelated. You should see your sub next to all the rest of the subs in the iOS settings.

@re_chief Just a normal link to a post. We aren't doing anything that couldn't be done since the beginning of Mastodon's existence. It's just a quality of life improvement seeing the post inline vs just a link to it. 🙂

We are closer to shipping Ivory v1.9! The big feature for this release is the ability to quote posts. If you'd like to test it out, jump back on the TestFlight version of Ivory. We've opened up some more TestFlight beta slots here as well:

The TestFlight version of Ivory doesn't use your active App Store subscription. You have to subscribe again in TestFlight. You do not get charged real money in TestFlight. It's for testing purposes only.

:appicon_ivory: Ivory v1.8.3(iOS) is now available on the App Store! This is a tiny release that fixes a couple bugs and fixes some issues we've found when running on VisionOS in compatibility mode. Those of you lucky enough to get a VisionPro in a few days, please let us know if you spot any big issues.

@band the very top? It’s possible you might have disabled it in ivory’s behavior settings.

@habibcham @JRP69 @joshzepeda the only reason we haven’t done work on the notifications tab and quote posts yet is because Mastodon announced that they would be implementing both of those into the api. It would be a big waste of time for us to implement them ourselves only to have to go back and change things to work with the api later.

But if they take too long, we will just do it ourselves. We’ve just been doing other items on our roadmap first.

@hongminhee This is a temporary issue as the mentions tab will go away once we finish with the notifications tab.

@PeiLun We aren't sold on that yet. They can be distracting and be a slight tax on performance. But we have some potential ideas if we do ever decide to.

Once updated, just tap the smiley face icon in the compose window to view and select a custom emoji from your server instance.

@PeiLun Our Notifications view isn't done. We have a lot of work to do there and selecting which notifications you want to see is part of it. The mentions tab will go away when we are done.

Ivory for Mac will be released tomorrow!

We’ve decided to keep things simple as far as subscriptions go. If you paid for “Premier”, you’ll automatically get access to the Mac app as we have changed “Premier” to “Universal”.

If you paid for “Pro”, you’ll get the same access to “iOS + iPadOS”.

If you upgrade to “Universal”, your sub date will reset and you’ll be refunded the remainder of your Pro subscription.

Ivory for iOS/iPadOS 1.4 is out on the App Store! It will slowly roll out over the next few days, but if you want it now, go to the App Store and manually update.
