I'm looking to purchase my first #NAS. The internet is recommending a Synology DS225+ but I'm also reading that they force you to buy #Synology drives and I'm not sure the lock-in is a positive sign?

So what other brands should I be looking for? I basically want to run my #Jellyfin server on it so the whole family can stream audio and video to our #Android + #iOS devices and listen to some banging tunes on the #Sonos speaker at home.

It looks like the domain might have expired and was scooped up by someone else? It's registered to 'cesar garcia' now. And the fresh install of WordPress that existed before is now full of generic SEO-keyword-optimised "How to" guides for Mastodon.

It'll be a shame if that's the case. Guppe Groups was a good way to further reach of posts.

@FediThing @evan I recall the time I spent far too long writing a Wikipedia page about my small hometown in the UK only for an American dude to flag it for deletion because the subject matter was "Not notable". I checked two weeks later and it was gone. 🥹

Then I decided to never try to update Wikipedia again. 🙃

Upgrading my #Debian install to Debian 13 (#Trixie). 🤞

There's nothing that stands out as a big update so far, but everything I use in #Debian just *feels* smoother and a bit more polished. I guess that's the updates to #Gnome.

The only political party to come knock at my door has been MDG. 💚

I had to tell them that I was previously an active member (here's a photo of me and Une from 2017, before she became party leader in 2020), but since cancelled. 😬

Disappointingly, I'm not (yet) a citizen so don't get a vote in the upcoming election. 🤷

I really enjoy election season and would very much enjoy seeing MDG get above the required threshold this year. 🤞

Downloaded a nice little add-on that adds a little "Nebula" tag to the YouTube videos that are available on Nebula.

Clicking it takes me over to Nebula :nebula: so I can watch the video there instead of on The YouTubes :youtube:
