the problem are webdevs who only know their Javascript framework and have little idea about HTML/CSS and therefore needlessly build their own pretty but shitty datepickers

#Iwatched #Dredd (2012) again because @darkcorners3 mentioned a new blu-ray release and I couldn't wait for that. Dredd is a perfectly executed self-contained action movie that uses its spatial limitation in one high-rise building to its advantage. Kinda like #DieHard (1988). But instead of an estranged husband fighting for his wife, Dredd is about a hyper-rational father figure connecting with an emotional daughter figure, over fighting an evil mother who is the head of a brutal drug cartel.

@TheBreadmonkey today's slang is just some weird words you can learn in one afternoon. back in the 90s we spoke in pop references wrapped in 3 layers of irony minimum. you had to study any subculture for years to get the nuances.
